Liivi Harper, age 97 formally of Fairfield, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Burlington Care Center, Burlington, Iowa.

Per her wishes the body has been cremated.

Visitation will be 10:00 - 11:00 am, Monday, December 9, 2013 prior to the service at First Lutheran Church, 201 West Briggs Street, Fairfield, Iowa.

Memorial service will be 11:00 am, Monday, December 9, 2013 at First Lutheran Church, Fairfield, Iowa with Pastor Stacy Grau officiating.

Liivi was born October 11, 1916 in Tallinn, Estonia. She married Gene Harper August 22, 1946 in Wiesbaden, Germany. Gene passed away February 16, 1983.

Liivi moved to Fairfield in 1948 and proudly became a United States Citizen in 1956 and was a housewife.

Liivi was a member of the First Lutheran church where she taught Sunday school and Bible school. She was a member of the V.F.W Auxiliary, Eagles Auxiliary, Fairfield Arts Association, Republican Woman's and Bridge Club. Liivi's enjoyed gardening, oil painting, knitting, reading, politics and she was a talented seamstress.

Liivi is survived by her 2 children: Robert (Rita) Harper of Keosauqua, Iowa and Karin (David) Goosey of Burlington, Iowa, 2 grandchildren: Shelly Rae Boyce (Dan) Coyne and Douglas Robert (Laura) Harper, 3 great grandchildren: Olivia Coyne, C.J. Coyne and Jackson Takai Harper.

Liivi is preceded in death by her parents and husband.
