Lloyd Ellis Comer age 73, of Rockford, Illinios went home to be with the Lord on June 17, 2008 at Alden Alma Nelson in Rockford, Illinios.

Private Family services were held June 21, 2008 at the Fairfield Friends Church and burial was in Floris Cemetery.

Lloyd was born March 3, 1935 in Floris, Ia. to Virble F. Comer and Evelyn Ranard . He married Sharon Joyce Wing on November 15, 1953 in Ottumwa, Iowa. She survives.

Lloyd graduated from Ottumwa high School class of 1953. He later graduated from the Rockford School of Theology in 1975. Lloyd was a self employed Painter for many years retiring in 1996.

Lloyd is survived by wife Sharon of Rockford,Il. 2 daughters Diana Flynn and Cynthia (Grant) Laughlin both of Fairfield,Ia. 1 son Lloyd James (Rhonda) Comer of Rockford,Il. 7 Grandchildren Deana (Jeremy) Lanferman, Jared (Amanda) Flynn, Caleb Flynn, Skyler Grant Laughlin,Mackenzie, Dalton and Kenton Comer, and 4 great grandchildren Flynn and Ronin Lanferman,Grady and Seth Flynn 1 sister Janet (Ira) Miller of Fairfield, Former son-in-law James Flynnof Fairfield,Step mother Connie Comer of Knoxville,Ia, honorary daughter Mary Stoner of Rockford, Il. and many wonderful Friends.

Lloyd was preceded by his parents, stepfather Grover (Bob) Ranard and daughter Deborah Rae Comer.
