Louie Dean Hunt

June 29, 1916 — February 2, 2008

Louie D. Hunt, age 91 of Fairfield, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2008, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

Open visitation will begin Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at 9:00 AM, at Behner Funeral Home and continue until 7:00 PM. Family visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, beginning at 9:30 AM, Wednesday.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM, Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield with Pastor Ernest DeWitt officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.

The family requests memorials be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.

Louie Dean Hunt was born June 29, 1916 in Bible Grove, MO, the son of Barton and Cornelia (Stice) Hunt.

Louie was united in marriage with Pansy Rowene Eggers in Lancaster, MO on December 24, 1935. They were the parents three children: Darrell, Norma and Lorna. Pansy died June 13, 1991.

Louie was self-employed as a farmer for 15 years, and was employed at Iowa Malleable Iron Co. for 30 years. He was a member of Bethesda Community Church.

Louie is survived by his children and their families: Darrell E. Hunt and wife Martha V. of Fairfield, Norma J. Boese and husband Bill of Fairfield, and Lorna J. Davis and husband Darrell of Mead. CO. He was blessed with seven grandchildren: Glen Hunt, Ray Hunt, Tim Boese, Tom Boese, Todd Boese, Carol Ward, Connie Jensen, and nine great-grandchildren. Survivors include one sister, Margie Barker of Mobley, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Pansy, one grandson, Keith, and six siblings: Floyd Hunt, Dorsey Hunt, Ronald Hunt, Arba Hunt, Clair Hunt, and Mamie Hunt.
