Lucas Aaron William McElderry

Lucas Aaron William McElderry age 20, passed away December 11, 2022, at his home.

Lucas was born April 26, 2002, to Mike McElderry and Heather Farmer at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.

Lucas worked at Faircast, Keosauqua Sale Barn and other odd jobs.  He was an outdoors person and enjoyed hunting, fishing.  Some of Lucas’s other interests were forging metal and welding.  Most important was being able to spend time with his daughter Emily.

Lucas will be missed by his daughter, Emily Rose McElderry; fiancée, Rachel Johnston; mom, Heather (Chuck Engle) Farmer; two siblings, Kodi Farmer-Riley and Savana Farmer-Riley; stepbrother, Vincent Moine; dad, Mike (Lynn) McElderry; stepbrothers, Chandler, Julian and Blake Pumphrey; grandparents, James “Aaron” McElderry and Bill and Diana Farmer; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandma, Dorothy McElderry; and stepdad, Alan Riley.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
