Lura Lucille Phillips

Lura Lucille Phillips passed away at 6:55pm at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield, Iowa. She was born to Arthur C. and Bertha Shinn Speer in Scott County, Iowa and married George A. Phillips in 1928 in Davenport, Iowa.

Mrs. Phillips was employed at the Juvenile Shoe Company in Aurora, Missouri until 1975 when she retired and moved first to Pleasant Plain and then to Fairfield. Iowa.

Survivors include a daughter, Janet Farrier of Fairfield, two sons; George Arthur Phillips of Derby, Kansas and Francis M. Phillips of Raymore, Missouri, 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, two brothers; David Speer of Las Cruces, NM and Willard Speer of Comanche, TX and a sister, Frances Latimer of Ankeny, IA.

Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her husband, George, one daughter, Karen Brower, two brothers, three sisters, and one grandson.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at a later date at Parkview Care Center. No visitation is planned.
