Mabel A. Flinspach, 85, of Fairfield, Iowa, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2006 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held 10:30 AM, Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fairfield, with Rev. Stephen Page officiating.
Memorials may be made to the donor's charity of choice.

Mabel Agnes Flinspach was born September 1, 1920 in Germanville, IA, the daughter of Edward and Agnes (Supalla) Wittmer. She spent most of her life on a farm north of Fairfield, graduating from Pleasant Plain High School in 1937. Mabel married Charles Flinspach on February 14, 1946 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fairfield. They were the parents of two children: Joseph and Peggy.
Mabel was a parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Church, a member of the Jefferson County Hospital Auxiliary, Farm Bureau and St. Mary's Altar and Rosary Society. Her hobbies included cards, Bingo and needlework.
Mabel is survived by her children and their families: Joseph Flinspach of Florida and Peggy Flinspach Miller and her husband Dan Miller of Chicago, IL. Mabel was grandmother to two grandsons: Douglas Miller and his wife Cassie of Owensboro, KY and David Miller of Lexington, KY. Mabel had one great-grandson, Eli.
Mabel was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie on March 24, 1993, her parents, one brother, Ernest Wittmer and three sisters: Ethel Kessel, Florence Dickinson and Janet Hemm.
