Mabel D. Wagner Ruiz

Mabel D."Mert" Wagner Ruiz, age 66, died at her home in Eldon, Iowa on Sunday, June 11, 2006.

Funeral services were held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield. Rev. Janet Lasley officiated. Burial followed in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

Mabel D."Mert" Wagner Ruiz was born January 8, 1940 in Fairfield, Iowa, the daughter of Paul and Sylvia Williams.

Mabel is survived by her children and their families:Donald Wagner, of Ottumwa, IA, Paul Wagner of Muscatine, IA, Lewis Shellady of Columbia, MO, and , Mindy Orndoff and James Mancille-Ruiz, both of Ottumwa, IA. Mabel has 22 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Survivors include brothers and sisters: Alitha Schwantis, Iris Williams, Opal Eland, James Williams, Paula Cook, Stephan Williams and Will Williams.

Mabel was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers: Marion and Edwin Williams.
