Manuel R. Zapata

Manuel R. Zapata, age 44 of Fairfield, passed away on August 27, 2010 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday August 30, 2010 at Behner Funeral Home, with Rev. Danny Cary officiating.

According to family wishes the body will be cremated.

Manuel was born on December 28, 1965 in Weslaco, Texas to Antonio and Margarita Ramos Zapata. He married Geraldine Quinby in Aurora, Illinois on October 26, 1996. He was a general laborer at Nelson Company in Fairfield.

Manuel is survived by his mother of Fairfield, his wife of Fairfield, 2 sisters: Yolanda Perez and Sylvia Rivera both of Fairfield and 2 brothers: Domingo Zapata of Ottumwa and Jose Zapata of Fairfield.

He was preceded in death by his father.
