Maria LuisaZaragoza, age 98, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at her home in Fairfield, Iowa.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Behner Funeral Home with Father Nick Adam officiating. A private family burial will be 10:30 am, Monday, September 30, 2013 at Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Behner Funeral Home.

Maria Luisa Zaragoza was born August 25, 1915 in Tampico, Mexico to Maria Demetria Victoriana Sanchez. She married Natividad Zaragoza in 1931. In 1944 they moved to Fairfield, Iowa.

Maria was a homemaker and enjoyed time with family and friends. She especially liked watching the grandkids. She was an avid St Louis Cardinals and Hawkeye fan. She was a member of St Mary Catholic Church.

Survivors include her 3 sons, Raymond Zaragoza of San Antonio, Texas, Victor (Dixie) Zaragoza and Rene Zaragoza both of Fairfield, Iowa; 30 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren.

Maria was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 sister, 1 daughter in-law, 3 children, 2 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
