Marjorie A. Martin, age 88, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2008 at Community Care Center in Stuart, IA.

Open visitation will be held from noon to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with Rev. Dr. Richard Wallarab officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.

Marjorie Adeline Martin was born October 2, 1919 in Utica, IA, to Worthy and Ethel Vera (Harper) Pratt. She was a graduate of Stockport High School with the Class of 1938. Marjorie was united in marriage with Ralph Edison Martin October 12, 1952. He died October 22, 1987.

Marjorie was employed at Dexter Company and Woody's Restaurant. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by sisters, Virginia Hooper and husband Harry of Keosauqua, IA, and Janet Pratt, and brothers, Keith Pratt and wife Donna of Birmingham, IA and Donald Holmes, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, two sisters and one brother: Maxine Issacson, Barbara Holmes and Darrell Pratt.
