Marvin was born May 18, 1952 to Ivan Erleu Sr. and Laura Francis (Williams) Cline. He married his high school sweetheart, Carlyn Rae Perian July 25, 1970. They celebrated 46 years of marriage before she passed away October 16, 2016.

His favorite things to do included; hunting, fishing, going to the Keosauqua sale barn, traveling, restoring tractors for his Dad, and watching his grandchildren play sports. He also enjoyed farming, raising cattle and spending time with his numerous dogs, most recently Sassy Cline. His morning routine consisted of going to McDonald’s for breakfast and getting 2 burgers for Sassy after checking on his cattle. He was a master chef on the grill and could turn any piece of meat into a delicacy. He possessed many skills, but his best was being a father to his children. He taught that love could heal any wound, dry up any tears and encouraged us all to fight for what is right.

His legacy lives on through; his son, Allen (Janet) Cline; daughter, Tammirae (Scott) Neuendorf; daughter, Laura Guezimane-Cline; mother, Laura Cline of Lockridge, IA; 5 brothers and their spouses, Ivan (Jr) and Fon Cline of Fairfield, William (Bill) and Louise Cline of Fairfield, Duane and Phyllis Cline of Birmingham, Michael (Mike and Lilliana) Cline of Agency, Carlos and Nancy Cline of Jesup; nine grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Marvin is also survived by close family friends, Kenny and Karen Whitman.

He was preceded in death by; his wife Carlyn Cline; dad, Ivan Cline Sr.; two brothers, Dale and Darrell Cline; and grandson, Neiko Allen Morris.
