Mary "Katherine" Brickey

Mary "Katherine" Brickey, age 95, passed away on October 23, 2010 at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Behner Funeral Home, with Pastor Peg Ellingson officiating.

Visitation for family and friends will be 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at Behner Funeral Home.

Mary "Katherine" was born in Gate City, Virginia on October 21, 1915, to William and Bridget Brannen Harris. She married Raymond Brickey on March 28, 1936 in Fairfield. Raymond passed away on March 23, 1982.

Mary "Katherine" worked in house keeping at Parson's for 8 years and at the Van Buren County Hospital for 7 years. She was a member of the Stockport United Methodist Church and a 50 year member of the Stockport Eastern Star.

Mary "Katherine" is survived by 2 children: William (Dorothy) Brickey of Mt. Pleasant and Jane Brickey of Des Moines, 1 daughter-in-law: Judy Brickey of Ottumwa, 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 son: John Brickey and 2 sisters: Margaret Taylor and Nell Hillman.
