Maxine Betty Adams

Maxine Betty Adams, age 87, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Sunny Brook Living Care Center.

Per her wish the body has been cremated. There will be a graveside service at Evergreen Cemetery at a later date for family and friends.

Maxine was born April 27, 1927 to Otho and Gertrude Elma (Kellogg) Wright. She married George Adams December 21st 1984. He passed away September 5, 1989.

Maxine lived all her life in the Fairfield area. She worked Universal, Ordinance Plant and her last job was at Plexco as a machine operator. Maxine loved spending time with family and friends. She liked helping her neighbors by giving them rides to their doctors’ appointments. Maxine liked playing Bingo and Wii bowling.

She is survived by her two daughters, Sherry (Darrell) Copeland of Fairfield, IA and Jane Lynn (Mike) Delaney of Jasper, TN; 5 grandchildren, Raquel (Mark) Woollums of Davenport, IA, Candace Morrison of Fairfield, IA, Justin (Sara) Martin of Ames, IA, Jamie (Scott) Stanton of Springfield, MO and Jesse James Martin of Batavia, IA.; and 5 great grandchildren.

Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, George Adams; 5 brothers, Farrell, Harold, George, Eugene and Glen Wright; 4 sisters, Mildred Barnette, Pauline Wallace, Bernice Canaday and Annabelle Jester.
