Maxine Charlett Butler

Maxine Charlett Butler age 93 of Fairfield, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Parkview Care Center.

Maxine deeded her body to the University of Iowa.  No services are planned at this time.

Maxine was born March 18, 1925 to Roy and Cecil (Van Dorin) Matherly.  She married Richard Butler March 18, 1950 in Moravia.  He passed away June 15, 1998.   On January 14, 2002 she married Jack Porter.

Maxine loved all children, spending time with family and friends, fishing, animals, especially her dog “Hooch”.

Left to share Maxine’s memories are her husband, Jack Porter of Fairfield; one son, Mike Butler of Des Moines; 3 step children, Rick Porter, Vicky Porter and Dave Porter; 2 grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Cecil; 1st husband, Richard Butler;

one sister, Vera Lyberger.
