Melba Louise Beer

Melba Louise Beer, age 64, passed away at Jefferson County Hospital Friday, July 13, 2007.

Her body has been cremated. A graveside memorial service was held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield with Rev. Danny Cary officiating.

Melba was born October 10, 1942 in Jefferson County, the daughter of John William and Leona Alice (Makepeace) Beer. Her early years were spent at Glenwood State Hospital, and she was later transferred to Rescare in 1970, and then Nelson Nursing Home in 2003.

Melba loved people, playing cards, and listening to music. Her special friends were Lana Annis, Ruby Kopp, Sandra Rupe and all of the Nelson Nursing Home staff.

Melba was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Eula Smith.
