Melvin "Mel" Lee Malachosky

Melvin “Mel” Lee Malachosky age 79, of a Keosauqua, passed away January 17, 2020, at home with Kathleen by his side.

Mel was born October 15, 1940, to James and Eva (Snider) Malachosky in Ohio. He married Kathleen Davis on August 16, 1987.

Mel has lived in the Keosauqua area for the last 22 years. For 30 years, He was a test engineer for the space shuttle. Mel had many interests; he was a 50-year member of the masonic lodge in Florida,  enjoyed golf, playing billiards, listening to Rock and Blues music, watching the tv show Yellowstone, and an avid Cleveland Browns fan. He served in the US Airforce.

Left to share Mel’s memories are his wife, Kathleen of Keosauqua; son, Mark Malachosky of Pennsylvania; daughter, April (Kerry) Jefferson of California; two brothers, Al and Tim Malachosky; 5 grandchildren, Evan and Emily Malachosky, Sharmaine, Kerry Jr. and Antoine Jefferson; and 5 great grandchildren.

Mel was preceded by his parents.
