Michael Lee Johnston

Michael Lee Johnston, age 59, of Libertyville passed away Saturday Jan 19, 2013 at Arbor Court in Mt Pleasant.
According to his wishes his body has been cremated. A Memorial Service will be 10:30 am Monday, January 21, 2013 at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Cary officiating. A private burial of cremains will be at a later date in Maple Hill Cemetery, Birmingham, Iowa.

Michael Lee Johnston was born January 7, 1954 in Fairfield, Iowa to Kenneth Lawrence and Eva Marie Hootman Johnston. He married Sharon Ann (Bonnett) Potter on August 30, 2003 at their home in rural Libertyville.

Michael was a huge Green Bay Packers fan and recently a shareholder. He enjoyed wood working and spending time with his dogs, Gizmo and Gadget.

Michael retired from Rockwell/Arvin Meritor after a 30 year career.

Michael is survived by his wife: Sharon Potter-Johnston of Libertyville and 3 children: Christopher (Casey Ann) Johnston of Eldon, Iowa, Amanda Jo Johnston of North Liberty, Iowa and Tammy Orte (Steve) of Clear Lake, Iowa, his mother Eva Johnston of Fairfield, 6 Grandchildren: Adam, Benjamin and Chase Johnston, of Eldon, Courtney and Colton Orte of Clear Lake and Shawn (Sabrina) Orte of Fairfield. 2 Great grandchildren: Coby Orte and Ashton Lankford, 1 sister: Dorothy (Gary) Henson of Fairfield and many nieces, nephews & great nieces & nephews.

Michael was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Johnston.
