Mignon Stout

Mignon Stout, age 86, of Fairfield, IA, passed away Friday, February 8, 2008 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, IA.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with a Family Visitation beginning at 12:00, prior to the service. Services will be conducted by Pastor Suzanne Swahn, with Interment in Maple Hill Cemetery in Birmingham.

Mignon Stout was born in Haysville, IA November 11, 1921, the only child of Leonard and Faye Hardesty. She was united in marriage with Raplph E. Stout, Jr in Lancaster, MO on August 24, 1940. He preceded her in death February 3, 1988.

Mignon was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Fairfield, and the Fairfield Chapter of the Rebekah Lodge.

She is survived by her daughter and her family: Marta Goehring and husband Richard of Guttenburg, IA. Mignon was blessed with four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, one son; Steven K. Stout and a daughter; Paula Traylor.
