Mildred Ann Moore

Mildred A. Moore, age 71 of Fairfield, IA, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2007 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, IA.

Visitation with the family will be held 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Sunday, October 18, 2009 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Funeral services will held Monday, 2:00 PM, October 19, 2009 at the funeral home with Lester Schlatter offering words of comfort. Interment will be held in West Chester Cemetery.

Mildred Ann Moore was born July 19, 1938 in Washington, IA, the daughter of Robert L. and Gertrude (Morgan) Wallace. She was united in marriage with Howard W. Moore Jr. in West Chester, IA on January 8, 1955.

She had been a resident of the Fairfield area since 1985. Mildred was employed a bookkeeper for different Fairfield companies until she retired. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Howard of Fairfield, and her children and their families: Melinda (Jerry) Mendenhall of Palm Springs, CA., Vicki Ritz (Charles Blythe) of Mt. Pleasant, IA, Julie (Dan) Hill of New London, IA, and Shawn (Mandy) Moore of Fairfield. Mildred was blessed with thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Survivors include two sisters: Karen (Tom) Vilmont of Washington, IA, and Linda (Harold) Keasling of Brighton, IA.

She was preceded by her parents, and a sister, Sharon Hole.
