Mildred L. Parks

Mildred Lorene Parks, age 96, passed away January 12, 2011 at Parkview Care Center.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Behner Funeral Home, with Rev. Mike Metz officiating. Visitation immediately after the service.

Mildred was born January 1, 1915 to Raymond and Sylvia Bruders Ain. She married Clifford Handy on June 29, 1935 and he passed away on February 23, 1964. On October 2, 1967 she married Wahl Parks and he passed away February 23, 2007.

She liked to bake, read, do crossword puzzles, play bridge, sew, bird watch and spend time with her family.

Mildred is survived by 1 daughter: Karen Pierson of Western Springs, Illinois, 3 grandchildren: Franklin Pierson, Catherine Pierson and Jessica McLean and 3 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands and her brother: Richard Ain.
