Mildred E. Six, age 100, formerly of Fairfield, passed away July 10, 2007 in Papillion, NE.
Family visitation will be held 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, July 13, 2007 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, IA.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 14, 2007 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield with Rev. Mike Metz officating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Fairfield or donor's choice.

Mildred Eileen Six was born May 31, 1907 in Lakenan, MO, the daughter of Harry E. and Pearl (Shumate) Myers. The family moved to Fairfield in 1922. She graduated from Fairfield High School in 1926 and attended the Fort Madison Business College.
Mildred was united in marriage with Everett W. Six December 1, 1929 in Fairfield. They are the parents of two children: Joan and James. Everett died February 8, 1969.
Mildred was a devoted wife and mother. She was employed by the Department of Transportation for 22 1/2 years. Mildred was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Her memberships included Deborah Circle, Philathea Sunday School Class, and United Methodist Women, with which she was District Officer for seven years. Mildred enjoyed her Bible studies, working in the church doing whatever she could, traveling, and crafting. She was always making something and sharing with her family and friends.
Mildred is survived by her daughter, Joan Boyd of Bellevue, NE, four grandchildren: Sandra Becker, Paula Menke, Perry Mitchell, and Patty Nash. She has 11 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Survivors include one brother, Cecil Myers of Davenport, IA.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Everett, son James Six, three grandchildren and one sister, Gwendolyn Myers.
