Myron "Dean" Burns Age 68 of Stockport, passed away Sunday January 13, 2013 at Hospice House in Ottumwa.Funeral Serives will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at St Mary's Catholic Church in Fairfield,Ia. with Father Stephen Page officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Spencer Cemetery near Stockport, Iowa.Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with prayers for christian wake at 2:00 p.m..In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Stockport Fire Department. Memorials and cards can be sent to 460 E. Rochester, Ottumwa, Iowa 52501.Myron " Dean" Burns was born June 18, 1944 in Fort Madison, Iowa to Richard Dale and Melva Jane Workman. He married Diane Roll and later divorced.Dean was a life long resident of the Stockport area, he graduated from Stockport High School class of 1962. He owned and operated Captain Clean business for 40 years and it is still in business. he was a member of Elk's Lodge #1192 of Fairfield. Dean was an Air force Veteran serving in Vietnam.Dean is survived by 2 children and spouses, Rodney (Jennifer) Burns of Ottumwa, Ia., Deanne (Sean) Doherty of Downers Grove, Il. 5 Grandchildren Carter Burns, Meg Burns, Nathan Burns of Ottumwa, Ia., Molly Doherty, Emily Doherty of Downers Grove, Il. 2 siblings, Dalene (Roger) Johnson of West Liberty, Iowa, and Rick Workman of Fort Worth, Tx.Dean was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter.
