Myron Edgar Metz, age 97, of Fairfield passed away April 14, 2013 at Burlington Care Center, Burlington, Iowa.

Graveside Services will be held Friday, April 19, 2013, 2:30 pm at Evergreen Cemetery with Pastor Trevor Davis officiating.

Visitation for the family and friends will be Thursday, April 18, 2013 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

Myron was born August 28, 1915 in Fairfield to Chester and Rosa Bell Watson Metz. He married Madelene Brereton, October 2, 1935.

He lived a lifelong resident of Jefferson County and was a farmer.

Myron is survived by his 2 children: Dorothy (Roger) Little of Aurora, Colorado and Sharon (Max) Lawson of Burlington; 6 Grandchildren: Dennis (Diane) Little, Denise (Bruce) Little-Miller, Douglas Little, Debbie (DiAnne) Fuhrer, Lenny (Melody) Lawson and Quint (Audrey) Lawson; 6 Great - Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and 1 brother: Donald Metz, and 1 sister: Grace Barker
