Nellie Emma Catherine Simons

Nellie Emma Catherine Simons was born on June 1, 1929 in Fairfield, Iowa, the daughter of Loren B. and Nellie Mae (Nugen) Garrison. She was married to Marshall Maynard Simons on March 8, 1947 in Fairfield. They were the parents of four children.

Nellie was a waitress at the MaidRite for the past seven years. she was previously employed at Chain and Cable for 14 years.

She is survived by her children and their families: Marsha & Larry Johnson of Packwood, IA, Melissa & Michael Wheaton of Libertyville, IA and Marlin Simons of Fairfield. She was grandmother to 6 grandchildren and great-grandmother to six.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Michael, one sister, Delores, 4 brothers; Wilford, Floyd, Milt & Claren Garrison and 4 infant siblings.

Family Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, March 11 at Behner Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 12, 2005 at Behner Funeral Home. with Rev. Danny Cary officiating. Burial will be in Glasgow Cemetery.

A memorial has been established.
