Family visitation was held 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Sunday, May 8, 2005 at the Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, Iowa.
At the family's request, funeral services were changed to 11:15 AM, Monday, May 9, 2005 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fairfield, with Rev. Stephen Page officiating.

Orville Denney was born on August 8, 1927 in Fairfield, Iowa, the son of Jesse and Eunice (Goepel) Denney. He lived most of his life in the Fairfield area, graduating from Fairfield High School. He married Marie Pohren on November 4, 1950 in Fairfield. They were the parents of six children.
Orville was a US veteran, service in both the US Navy and the Air Force. He was employed at Tenco as supervisor. Orville was a parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fairfield and a member of American Legion Post #47.
He is survived by his wife, Marie, their children and their families: John Denney of California, Mary Evans of Fairfield, IA, Paul Denney of Minnesota, Mike Denney, also of Minnesota and Maggie Holm of Ottumwa, IA. Orville was grandfather to 14 and had 5 great-grand-children. Also surviving are 3 brothers and 1 sister; Letha Woolverton of Shenandoah, IA, Clarence Denney of Fairfield, IA, Lawrence Denney of Davenport, IA and Robert Denney of North Carolina.
Preceding him in death were his parents, one son, Kenneth Denney and 3 grandchildren.
