Paula Jean Stocks

Paula Jean Stocks, age 63 of Richland, passed away at her home July 12, 2014.

Per her wishes the body has been cremated. Burial of cremains will be at a later date.

There will be a “Celebration of Life Gathering” on Thursday, July 17, 2014, 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm at the Hometown Inn & Suites (The old Super 8) in Washington, IA.

Paula was born June 8, 1951 to Robert and Mildred (Heinold) McFarlane in Des Moines, IA. She married Phillip D Stocks March 4, 1994.

Paula graduated from Washington High School. Paula worked with the elderly in various care centers in Washington and Jefferson counties for over 30 years, the last 18 years as Activities Director. The last 3 years she worked at All American Care in Washington, IA. Paula was very kind hearted and touched many lives with her presence and generosity.

Paula is survived by her husband, Phillip Stocks of Richland, IA; 3 children, Brian (Wendy) Sinn of Richland, IA, Kimberly (Tom) Stephanie of Washington, IA, Christopher (Rhonda) Sinn of Colfax, IA; 15 grandchildren, Alexys, Katlyn and Abigayle Sinn, Benjamin, David, Brandon, Tiffany and Brittany Stephanie, Trey, Brayden and Gavin Sinn, Colton and Jauna Hopkins, Angel and Joshua Miranda; 1 brother, Robert “Rob” McFarlane of Iowa City, IA; 1 sister, Connie (Ray) Boucher of North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
