Pauline M. Cox, age 86, of Boone, formerly of Fairfield, passed away Monday, October 29, 2007 at the Boone County Hospital Hospice.
Services in Fairfield will be as follows:
Family visitation will be held at 10:00 AM, one hour prior to the funeral service held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 1, 2007 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Wotherspoon officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Fairfield.
Pauline M. Cox was born in Jefferson County, IA near Glasgow on April 28, 1921, the daughter of Arthur and Ada (Havner) Crafton. She was united in marriage with Ernest Dale Cox in 1941 in Lancaster, MO. Dale died in 1977.
Pauline was employed at Fairfield Glove as a sewing machine operator until her retirement in 1986. She resided in Fairfield until moving to Boone three years ago. She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church in Fairfield. During her retirement, Pauline enjoyed puzzle books and walking. In earlier years, she enjoyed camping and traveling.
She is survived by her children and their families: Donald Cox and wife Betty of Boone, IA, three grandchildren, Philip and Teresa Cox of Polk City, Ia, Doug and Heather Cox of Ankeny, IA, and Jennifer and Robert Morris of Urbandale, IA, and 10 great-grandchildren: Matthew, Cassandra, Mark, and Nicholas Cox, Mollie, Madeline, and Ryan Cox, and Taylor, Logan, and Lauren Morris. Survivors include one sister-in-law, Fern Crafton of Fairfield.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dale, and one brother, Pete Crafton.
