Pearl Anderson, age 94 of Fairfield, IA, passed away Friday, November 6, 2009 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, IA.

Family visitation will be held Tuesday, November 10th, at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, IA from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, November 11th at the funeral home with Rev. Dave Peterson officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

Pearl May Anderson was born May 12, 1915 in Birmingham, IA to Fred and Sarah Elizabeth (Crafton) Reidel. She was united in marriage with Milo D. Anderson on Valentine's Day, 1934. H preceded her in death after 57 years, on April 2, 1991.

Pearl was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was employed housekeeper at Parsons College and as a cook and for The Elks; Walton and Fairfield Country Clubs. She enjoyed quilting and was affiliated with the First United Methodist Church of Fairfield and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her children and their families: Carroll & Sheila Anderson of Queen Creek, AZ, Donna Miles & Gifford Shanstrom of Fairfield, IA, Terry & Midge Anderson of Des Moines, IA, and Steve Anderson of Knoxville, IA. Pearl was blessed with nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Survivors include her sister, Ruth Easton of Farmington, IA.

In addition to her parents and husband, Pearl was preceded in death by daughter Shirley Keller, granddaughter Tera, three brothers: Leo, Harold and Clarence; and four sisters: Helen, Hazel, Irene, and Ethel.
