Peggy Sue Woodsmall

Peggy Sue Woodsmall, age 45, passed away Monday, August 15, 2011 at the Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday, August 18, 2011 at Behner Funeral Home and the funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Dianne Brokken officiating.

There will also be a visitation at Powers Funeral Home in Afton from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 19 and then a graveside service at 3:00 p.m. at St. Edwards Cemetery in Afton.

Peggy was born on November 15, 1965 in Creston, Iowa to Dan and Rayma Stewart Ripperger. She married Kevin Woodsmall on July 30, 1988 and they later divorced.

She was a Medical Technologist at Jefferson County Health Center for the last 6 years and had worked at the Burlington Hospital and Creston Hospital. Her hobbies and interests included Scrap booking, crocheting, crafts, flowers, gardening, attending concerts, Old Threshers and Flea Markets.

Peggy is survived by her parents of Afton, 2 children: Shane Woodsmall and Sarah Woodsmall, both of Fairfield, 3 siblings: Julia (Ken) Tilson of Leavenworth, Kansas, Tami (Randy) Arnold of Humeston and Alex (Candi) Ripperger of Afton and her fiancAC.e: Doug Folsom of Fairfield.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
