Penny Sue Boatright, age 52, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2009, surrounded by loved ones.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 26, 2009 at First Lutheran Church in Fairfield, IA between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, February 27, 2009 at First Lutheran Church with Pastor Marvin Robeck officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

Penny Sue Boatright was born January 23, 1957 to Clair Virgil Hollander and Gladys Irene (Van Winkle) Hollander in Fairfield, IA. She was united in marriage with Joel Barker Boatright February 2, 2002.

Penny graduated from Fairfield High School and worked at Hy-Vee, Lincoln Elementary, Dairy Bar, and Wolfe Clinic, before her current job as receptionist at Fairfield Clinic. Penny was a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister, and nana. Her greatest love was spending time with family. She also enjoyed flower gardening, family vacations, cooking, and hiking. She was a lifetime member of First Lutheran Church in Fairfield, IA.

Survivors include her husband, Joel Boatright of Fairfield; three daughters, Amy Johnson and husband Brian of Panora, IA, Megan Roland and fiance' Chris Chappell of Fairfield, IA, and Claire Boatright of Iowa City; one son, Cole Boatright and wife Katie of Fairfield; three brothers, Brian Hollander and wife Julie of Fairfield, Bruce Hollander and wife Nikki of Fairfield, and Ron Hollander and wife Deb of Burlington; and one grandson, Benett Boatright.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Nancy Hollander.
