Petronela T. Cupta

Petronela Cupta, age 82, of Fairfield, passed away at Jefferson County Hospital August 15, 2007. Her body will be cremated and Memorial Services will be at a later date.

Petronela T. Cupta was born in Zalokiec, Poland July 24, 1925, the daughter of Theodore T. and Katherine (Aleksen) Tkace. She married Michael Szawrowski of the Polish-American Army and after his death, she married Frank Cupta in Garfield, NJ.

Petronela was employed for 35 years as a lab technician for Hoffman LaRoche.

She is survived by her daughters and their families: Wanda Sandfire of Batavia, IA, and Lila Reynolds of Sacramento, CA, five grandnieces & nephews: Max, Anne, Lydia, Luba, Michael, and 3 great-grandnieces & nephews: Peter, Libby & Alexa. Survivors inlcude five siblings: Gregor Theodorov, Alexi Theodorov, Maxim Theodorov, Katarina Theodorova, and Zakaria Theodorova.

Petronela was predeceased by her parents, and both husbands.
