Rex Levi Jameson, age 82, of Burlington, formerly of Birmingham passed away, Monday January 20, 2014 at Heartland Health Care Center, Galesburg, IL.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 24, 2014 at Behner Funeral Home, Fairfield, IA with Pastor Charles E. Comfort officiating. Burial with military rites will follow the service at Maple Hill Cemetery, Birmingham, IA.
There will not be a family visitation.

Rex Levi Jameson was born August 2, 1931 to Harry Cavit and Sarah Minerva (Hewitt) Jameson in Birmingham, IA. He married Lois Marie Sipe, April 6, 1956 in Fairfield, IA. She passed away January 4, 2014.
Rex was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. In 1957 he and Lois moved to Burlington, IA. He worked 30 years as a machinist at J.I. Case Co. and served as financial secretary for UAW Local 807 for several years. He enjoyed watching Iowa Hawkeye sports, being outside, yard-work and remodeling the house.
Rex is survived by his 3 children, Michael Jameson of Paxton, IL, Jalene Jameson of Burlington, IA and Brenda Jameson of Jacksonville, FL; 8 grandchildren, Sierra Rajczi, Kelsey Langley, Christopher Jameson, Kathleen Doerzman, Kevin Doerzman, Meaghan Hayman, Brenna Hayman and Bridget Hayman; 1 great grandchild; and 1 sister, Lemira Collett.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
