Richard Lyle Kinsella

Richard Lyle Kinsella, age 70 of Fairfield, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Jefferson County Health Center.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Behner Funeral Home with Father Robert Striegel officiating. Private family burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Doug Johnson Dialysis Center. Cards and memorials can be sent to 409 W. Fillmore St. Fairfield, Iowa 52556. The family requests no flowers.

Richard was born on June 7, 1941, in Ames, Iowa to Lyle James and Thelma Alvina Bruce Kinsella. He married Jeanne Roland Yochum on July 30, 1962 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

He graduated from Dowling Catholic High School with the class of 1959 and had worked for the Iowa DOT for 39 years. He liked spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends, while enjoying a Mt. Dew.

Richard is survived by his wife, 4 children: Kierston (David) Pacha of Brighton, Julie Harvey and Tim Kinsella of Fairfield and Christopher Kinsella of West Des Moines, 5 grandchildren: Tyler Pacha of Melborne, Florida, Taryn Pacha of Brighton, Abbi Kinsella and Ashley Kinsella of West Des Moines and Cameron Harvey of Fairfield and 4 siblings: Pat Cain of Spirit Lake, Mary Sieverding of Iowa City, Janet Harney of Orange Park, Florida and Kathy Simms of Des Moines.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
