Richard D. Moore

Richard D. Moore, age 64 of Selma passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at the Jefferson County Health Center, Fairfield, IA.

Per Richards request he has been cremated and there will not be a service planned at this time.

Memorials can be made to Hospice Compassus or to Taffa Moore. Cards and memorials can be mailed to Taffa Moore, 13387 Acorn Ave. Selma, IA 52588.

Richard was born February 10, 1950 to David Rex and Ival Irene (Lanman) Moore in Fairfield, IA. He married Taffa Mercer May 22, 1984 in Arkansas.

Richard worked for 30 years at Rockwell Meritor as a mechanic. He was a member of Association of Machinists, Aero Space Workers and NRA. Some of Richards’s hobbies were hunting, fishing, build stuff, cars and mushroom hunting.

He is survived by his wife, Taffa Moore of Selma, IA; one son, Scott (Leslie) Moore; one step son, Ryan (Amber) Fritz; 5 grandchildren, Macayla Moore, Logan Fritz, Lexee Fritz, Aubrey Fritz and C.J Rullman; one great grandson, Cason Rullman; his parents, David and Ival Moore; two brothers, Ron Moore of Iowa City, IA and Robert (Sherri) Moore of Eldon.

Richard was preceded in death by one son, Corey Moore; his grandparents; aunts & uncles; one sister, Rhonda Moore; and one step-son, Chad Fritz.
