Ricky Wayne Himes, age 48, of Douds, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at St. Margaret's Hospital in Spring Valley, IL.

The body has been cremated and memorial services will be held at a later date.

Ricky Wayne Himes was born in Keosauqua, IA on June 2, 1960 to Richard and Caroline House Kelly Himes. He lived most of his life in Van Buren County. Ricky was married to Deb Houston, who predeceased him. He was self-employed in the recycling business, and enjoyed gambling and NASCAR.

Surviving Ricky are his mother and step-father: Caroline and Vincent Kelly of Keosauqua, IA, a daughter and son: Jennifer Wiley and husband Eric of Douds, and Dustin Houston of Fairfield and three grandchildren. Survivors include one sister and two brothers: Peggy Chambers of Keosauqua, IA, Gerald Himes of Denver, CO, and Jeff Himes of Douds, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, wife, Deb Houston, and daughter, Brandy Jo Himes.
