Rita Lynne Woolam, age 61 died September 29, 2013 at 12:50 p.m. at the Hospice Serenity House in Oskaloosa, IA.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 am, Friday, October 4, 2013 at Behner Funeral Home, Fairfield, Iowa with Pastor Harold Baker officiating. Interment will be at Pittsburg Cemetery in Pittsburg, IA.

Visitation will be prior to the service with family present 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 4, 2013 at Behner Funeral Home.

Rita was born on August 21, 1952 in Keosauqua, IA to Leo and Nellie (Pool) Scotton. She married LeRoy R. Woolam on September 21, 1996 in Aledo, IL.

She worked her whole career as a geriatric nursing assistant with the last 12 years at Good Samaritan Center, Ottumwa, IA. Rita attended Midway Baptist Church, Floris, IA. Her hobbies and interest include sewing, reading, cooking (peanut butter fudge), yard sales and animals.

She is survived by her father, Leo Scotton of Fairfield, Iowa; husband, LeRoy Woolam of Ottumwa, Iowa; 2 sisters, Gail Rush of Aledo, IL and Rosa LaRue of Ottumwa, IA; 2 brothers, Russell (Rhonda) Scotton of North Little Rock, AR, Mitchell (Kelleen) Scotton of Houston, TX; numerous nieces and nephews; 5 step-sisters and 1 step-brother; her sisters at heart, Rebecca Coyne of Ottumwa, IA, Mitzi Maggio of Delta, Iowa, and Leonis Cohagen of Ottumwa.

She was preceded in death by her mother and 1 step-sister.
