Robert B. Droz Sr. age 62, died February 23, 2007 at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield, Iowa.

Funeral Services for Robert B. Droz Sr. were 10:30 A.M. Wednesday February 28, 2007 at Behner Funeral Home with Dar Eckley offering words of comfort.

Cremation followed service and burial of cremains will be at a later date.

The family requests memorials in lieu of flowers to be made to Jefferson County Parks and Trails.

Robert B. Droz, Sr. was born in Fairfield, Iowa on July 16, 1944 to Jack and Aletha Waggoner Droz. He was a life time resident of Fairfield and graduated from Fairfield High School with the Class of 1962. Robert was united in marriage with Rebecca (Becky) Hedlund on December 24, 1963 in Nashua, Iowa. They are the parents of one son and one daughter: Robert, Jr. and Tracie.

Robert worked for Fairfield Line Co. and Arvin-Meritor Co. He was a member of Eagles Lodge # 1927, Fairfield B.P.O.E. # 1192 and his hobbies include the Chicago Bears and Nascar.

Robert is survived by his wife, Becky, of Fairfield, Iowa, and his children and their families: Robert Droz, Jr of South English, IA, and Tracie Dietzman of Eldon, Iowa, and one grandson, Jackson Droz. Survivors include six sisters: Gloria Droz of Portland, OR, Linda English of Mt. Pleasant, and Marie Griffin, Kathy Garrison, Sue Peebler, and Patty Ingle, all of Fairfield, IA.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents.
