Robert L. McKee

Robert L. McKee, 93, a resident of Sigourney, formerly of Fairfield, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2024 at Manor House Care Center in Sigourney. 

 A memorial gathering will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield. Memorials may be made to the family. 

 Bob was born September 15, 1931 in Fairfield, the son of Glen and Alberta (Haffner) McKee. He married Donna Johnson, December 5, 1964 in Memphis, Missouri. 

 Bob worked as a Utility Representative for Iowa Electric for 36 years. He enjoyed hunting, woodworking, camping, and spending time outdoors. Bob loved his Labrador dogs. 

 Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Donna; daughter and son-in-law, Debbi and Barry Moss of Fairfield; granddaughters, Krystal May and Morgan May; great-grandchildren, Layla, Aria, and Kaylee Stagers, Jayce and Aiden May. 

 He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald McKee; and sister, Margaret Carlson.
