Robert "Bob" Loren Ogden

Robert "Bob" Loren Ogden, age 86, of Fairfield passed away February 4, 2014 at Jefferson County Health Center, Fairfield, IA.

Memorial Service will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Cary officiating. Burial of cremains will be at a later date. Military rites will follow the service at Behner Funeral Home.

Visitation for family and friends will be 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 22, 2014 prior to the memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society. Memorials and cards can be sent to 506 W Monroe, Fairfield, IA 52556.

Robert Loren Ogden was born November 9, 1927 in Fairfield to Logan Henry and Edith G (Rodgers) Ogden. He married Joyce Joan Vance September 11, 1955 at First Christian Church in Fairfield, Iowa.

Robert graduated from Fairfield High School and attended Parsons College. He served in the Navy and Merchant Marines during the Korean War and World War II. Robert worked for Michigan Wisconsin Pipeline as a welder. He was a member of the Eagles lodge # 1927, VFW post #2271 and the Masonic lodge Af & Am #15. He and Joan enjoyed going and watching their grandkids sports activities. Robert was an avid Hawkeye fan.

Survivors include his wife: Joan Ogden; 4 children: Douglas Vance (Kathryn) Ogden of Coralville, IA, Ronald Logan (Linda) Ogden of Davenport, IA, David Earl (Carla) Ogden of Fairfield, IA and Roberta Jolene Ogden of Iowa City, IA; 6 grandchildren: Logan Joseph Ogden of Minneapolis, MN, Lindsay Marie Ogden of Minnetonka, MN, Sean Logan (Alex) Ogden of Bettendorf, IA, Tanner Kay (Joel) Lange of Jefferson, IA, Tori Jo Ogden of Fairfield, IA and Olivia Nicole Ogden-Kellicut of Iowa City, IA; 1 great grandchild, Keegan Logan Ogden, 3 siblings: Lyndon Ogden of Pocahontas, AR, Lelah Rains of Johnston, IA and Edythe Graby of Fairfield, IA.

Robert was preceded in death by his Father, Mother, and Stepfather: Earl August; 2 brothers: Willard and John Ogden.
