Robert "Bob" Eugene Wright, age 87 passed away February 25, 2014 at Jefferson County Health Center.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 am, Monday, March 3, 2014 at Church of the Nazarene with Howard Innis officiating. Burial will be at Clay Cemetery near Richland, Iowa.

Visitation for family and friends will be 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm, Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Behner Funeral Home.

Robert "Bob "Eugene Wright was born June 22, 1926 in Ottumwa, IA to Claude R. and May Elaine (Truitt) Wright. He married Gertrude Parcell September 2, 1950 at the Rubio Friends Church.

Bob worked with the Department of Human Services and Parkview Care Center. He served in the Army during WWII. Robert lived most of his life in Fairfield; he enjoyed wood crafting, reading, teaching adult Sunday school at the church and spending time with family and friends.

Bob is survived by his wife: Gertrude Wright of Fairfield, Iowa, two children: Cherylyn Trier of Warsaw, Indiana, Ramona Shelangoski of Fairfield, Iowa, Daughter-in-law: Linda Wright of Odessa, Texas, four Grandchildren: Jason (Jamie) Wright, Dena Shelangoski, Bradley (Katie) Shelangoski, Heather Smith, three great grandchildren: Aiden Shelangoski, Shelby Zeller, Cayden Ray Watson.

Bob was preceded in death by: his parents, one son Geron Wright, three brothers Norman, two infant brothers Donald and William Wright, two son-in-laws Richard Trier and Wayne Shelangoski.
