Ronald D. Thompson

Ronald D. Thompson, age 61, passed away November 13, 2011 at the Ottumwa Regional Health Center.

Per Ron's request, there will be no visitation or services. His body will be cremated.

Ron was born September 23, 1950 in Fairfield, Iowa to Geraldine and Rodney Thompson. He graduated from Cardinal High School in 1968. He married Kathleen C. Pyle in 1978 in Ottumwa and she passed away in 1986. Ron married Martha A. Simons in March 1997.

He is survived by his wife: Marty, 2 sons: Zack (Stacy) Thompson of Marion and Mike (Lecia) Simons of Libertyville, 1 daughter: Nikki (Bruce) Hollander of Fairfield, 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.

Ron was preceded in death by his father, mother, 1 brother: John and father-in-law: Norbert Pauly.
