Ruby Louise Dimmitt

Ruby Louise Dimmitt, age 76 of Fairfield, passed away December 4, 2011 at Sunnybrook Living Care Center.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. December 7, 2011 at the Word of Life Lutheran Church with Pastor Jamie Strickler officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Behner Funeral Home.

Ruby was born August 23, 1935 in Fairfield, to Russell and Mary Esther Morris Keller. She married Clyde Douglas Dimmitt in Fairfield on June 16, 1957. He passed away on March 7, 1996.

She lived her entire life in the Fairfield Community and was a cook at the Fairfield Middle School and also at Hy-Vee.

Ruby is survived by 3 children: Russell (Linda) Dimmitt of Fairfield, Mark (Julie) Dimmitt of Pflugerville, Texas and Larry (Becky) Dimmitt of Fairfield and 7 grandchildren: Jacob Dimmitt, Brooke Spriggs, Zachary Dimmitt, Kyle Dimmitt, Joshua Dimmitt, Micayla Dimmitt and Baylie Dimmitt.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and 3 sisters: Ruth Godwin, Maxine Keller and Lyda Keller in infancy.
