Ruby J. King, age 80 of Fairfield, IA, formerly of Sikeston, MO, passed away Monday, August 17, 2009 at Jefferson County Health Center. Her body has been cremated.

Ruby Jane King was born in Charleston, MO, January 20, 1929, the daughter of James Edward and Ruby (Golightly) Arnold. She was united in marriage with Lyman Harris in 1953 and they were later divorced. She married B.F. King in 1976. He died in January of 2000. Mrs. King was employed as an LPN at Jefferson County Hospital

Survivors include her children: Sandy Buttry and husband Thomas of Sikeston, MO, Tom Harris and wife Merian, of Fairfield, IA, John Harris of Fairfield, Sonny Harris and wife Sue, of Fairfield, Janie Venticher and husband Mike of Jamaica, IA, Lorie Farmer and husband Randy of Fairfield, and Jeff Harris of Pleasant Plain, IA. She was blessed with 17 grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren. Surviving are her siblings: Betty Bechthore, Mary Bank and Bob Arnold.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings: Ruth Ann Ferris, Charles Arnold, and James E. Arnold, Jr.
