Russell "Russ" Harward

Russell “Russ” Harward, 76, of Hot Springs Village, AK passed away January 15, 2014.

Memorial service will be 10:30 am, Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Coughlin officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield, Iowa.

Russell was born December 12, 1937 in Douds, Iowa to Lowell and Hazel Wiley Harward. He married Mary Coleman on January 14, 1955.

Russ was a devoted family man with a keen sense of humor. He loved golf and fishing. Russ also enjoyed wood working and skeet shooting.

Russ is survived by his wife, Mary Harward of Hot Springs Village; children, Roger (Patty) Harward, Scott (Stephany) Harward and Kelly Elseman, all of Fairfield, Iowa; brother, Roscoe (Mary) Harward of California; sisters, Bernice Gibson of Iowa, Virginia Layman of Montana, Jennie (Rex) Chacey of Iowa and Mary Ann Watson of Missouri; grandchildren, Shawna Harward, Nathan Elseman, Natalie Elseman, Tiffany (Germain) Pereira, Jason Harward and Holly Harward; and great grandchildren, Brennan Harward, Lilly Pereira, Madison Harward, Savannah Harward and Taitlyn Elseman.

He is predeceased by his parents; brothers, Richard, Robert and Rex Harward; and son, Greg Harward.
