Edward Shamblin age 93, of Fairfield, passed away November 9, 2013 at the Jefferson County
Health Center, Fairfield, Iowa.

Visitation
for family and friends will be prior to the service from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Behner Funeral Home.

Funeral
services will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Behner Funeral Home with
Rev. Howard Innis officiating. Burial will be
at the Richland Friends Cemetery, Richland, Iowa.

Russell
Edward Shamblin was born October 28, 1920 in Danville, Iowa to Charles and
Hazel (Williamson) Shamblin. He married
Eva (Cox) Shamblin June 18, 1944 at Richland Friends Church. She passed away November 1, 2004

Russell and Eva lived in the Fairfield area most of their married life. Russell
worked at Zillmans, Jefferson Motor Co. and Fairfield Toyota for a total of 54
years as a body man.

After
retirement Russell loved going to the coffee club held at Hy-Vee. He also looked forward every year to riding in the Kiwanis Kids Day Parade. At the
end of the day, Russell loved to sit on his
front porch and watch the people go by. In
1973 Russell was chosen as Man of the Year.
He loved to refinish antique cars and antique picture frames.

Russell
is survived by nieces and nephews.

He was
preceded in death by his wife, parents and one brother: Virgil Shamblin.
