Funeral Services were held 2:00 PM,Tuesday, April 12, 2005 at the Behner Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Metz officiating.

Family visitation was held 1:30 to 2:00 Pm, before the service.

Ruth was born December 19, 1906 to Walter and Belle (Bower) Billingsley in the family farm near Glasgow, IA. At 6 months of age, the young family moved to a ranch near Glasgow, Montana, living there until 1912. The family returned to the family farm in Glasgow, IA and Ruth graduated from Fairfield High School with the Class of 1924. She attended Parsons College Summer School and earned her teaching certificate.

Ruth taught country school in Lockridge Township, Round Prairie Township and Glasgow #2 for 12 years. On August 18, 1937, she married Clarence Otis Tracht in Coryson, Iowa. He passed away in 1997. They farmed in Cedar Township until 1974, when they sold the farm and moved to Fairfield.

Survivors include one sister, Helen Fickel of Indianola, IA and one brother, Roy & Kathleen Billingsley of Lockridge, IA. She was a dear aunt to many nieces and nephews; Dorothy & Pete Crawford of Houston, TX, Marilyn & Dick Korseberg of Washburn, WI, Don & Esther Fickel of Fairfield, IA, Mary Sue Fickel of Indianola, IA, Jennifer & Nelson Anderson of Lockridge, IA and Lisa & John Reindl of Cedar Falls, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 nieces; Lola Belle Ranard & Diane Billingsley Anderson and 1 nephew, Robert Fickel.
