Sandra Lee Ellis

Sandra Ellis age 73, of Birmingham, peacefully passed away Saturday, September 3, 2022.

Visitation for family & friends will be 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Thursday, September 8, 2022, at Behner Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 10:30 am, Friday, September 9, 2022, at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Gene Leutzinger officiating.  Burial will be at Bonaparte Cemetery.

A memorial has been established and can be mailed to Robert Ellis, 2070 Agate Street, Marion, Iowa 52302.

Sandra was born October 6, 1948, to Lee and Lavina (Unruh) Salts in Wichita, KS.  She married Eddie Lynn Ellis on April 6, 1968, in Wichita, KS.  They celebrated 50 years of marriage before he passed away on April 12, 2018. To this marriage was born Cassandra and Robert.

Sandra was a retired preschool teacher and beautician.  She crocheted many afghans for her family and also enjoyed sewing.  Sandra spent many years working on her family genealogy.  Some of her other interests were playing card games, like solitaire, board games, gardening and fishing. Most important was spending time with her kids, grandkids and great grandkids.

Left to share Sandra’s memories are her two children, Cassandra Ellis of Randall and Robert (Ellen) Ellis of Marion; 4 grandchildren, Iolean, Ethan (Sonya), John and Jacob Ellis all of Fairfield; and two great grandchildren, Ruby and Rylee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Lavina; and her husband, Eddie.
