Sharon J. Barbee

Sharon J. Barbee, age 74, formerly of Birmingham, died March 9, 2015, at Washington County Hospital in Washington, IA.

As per Sharon’s request, her body will be cremated. Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, IA, will be assisting the family.

A private graveside service for family will be held at a later date.

Sharon was born August 29, 1940, to Vernon and Hazel Riedel Cass. She was married to Gene Barbee and they later divorced. Sharon had resided at Nelson Nursing Home in Fairfield, IA, and then Maplewood Manor in Keota, IA.

She is survived by her son, Tony Barbee of Springfield, MO; four brothers, Darrell (Ella) Cass of Libertyville, IA, Robert (Kathleen) Cass of Las Vegas, NV, Dan (Julia) Cass of Birmingham, IA, Larry (Kristine) Cass of Stockport, IA; and one sister, Teresa (R.V.) Dorothy of Vallejo, CA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Don.
