Sharon Kay Koch

Sharon Kay Koch, age 67 of Fairfield, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at her home under the care of her daughter Jessica for 9 months and Hospice of Washington County.

Visitation for family and friends will be 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm, Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Behner Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Spilger officiating. After the service she will be cremated and burial of cremains will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial can be made to the family. Cards and memorials can be sent to: 806 W Broadway Ave., Fairfield, IA 52556.

Sharon was born March 20, 1947 to Theodore “Ted” and Laura (Moore) Prevett Sr. in West Plains, MO. She married Russell "Rusty" Edwin Koch July 16, 1963 in Fairfield, Iowa at the Free Methodist Church.

She was an In-Home–Care provider. Sharon loved spending time with her grandkids and family. During the summer she and her family would go to Keosauqua, IA and spend time at the river cabin. She liked to play cards, bingo and did quilting. Sharon attended the Free Methodist Church.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Russell "Rusty" Koch of Fairfield, IA; one son, John Koch of Brighton, IA; 3 daughters, Julie (Guy) Silvers and Jessica (Chad) Parkhurst both of Fairfield, IA, Justine (Jeff) Craff of Stockport, IA; her beloved dog, Baby Mae; 5 grandchildren, Jordan Koch, Blaine Silvers, Brookelynn Silvers, Sheldon Craff and Keaton Craff; 4 sisters, Violet Oswalt of High Amana, IA, Mary Andersen of Neely, NE, Esther Goettsche of Fairfield, IA, and Kathy Ward of Kissee Mills, MO; and one brother Kenneth “Kenny” Prevett of Stockport, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore “Ted” Sr. and Laura Prevett; 5 brothers, Virgil, Clinton, George, Ted "Junior" and Glen Prevett.
