May I never be remembered
for the size of my estate...
the places that I've traveled
or some other worldly trait...
For the things that I've collected
and the things that I have made
may be squandered or discarded
or be left to rust and fade.
Rather let me be remembered
for the way that I have cared
for the people I've assisted
and the love that I have shared.
If I am to be remembered
judge me not by the work or play...
not the things I purchased
but the love I gave away.
